Picture Book Problems?
I wanted to write children books. Actually, I wanted to write stories about my dogs. Enjoying their playful antics and personalities, I wanted to share them with others.
I had the stories. I even did my own illustrations. Now comes the easy part- putting it together in a book, right? Wrong! I found I didn't know the first thing about putting together an ebook.
What I didn't want was a small squared image on every other page like I seen in so many books. I wanted a large enough image that the kids would enjoy looking at them. You have this whole screen waiting to be filled. The beauty of ebooks is that the publisher no longer controlls what is allowed. YOU ARE THE PUBLISHER!
Many... many attempts later.
I will be honest. I listened to so many tutorials, youtubes, and courses. So many that didn't or wouldn't tell you enough to just get it done. I tried css which, hey I do know something about and still did not get the results I was looking for. Months went by. Fustration grew and I almost gave up.

- Ok, I am not a guru. I won't lie and say I know it all. I am just like you. Learning more every day and if that isn't enough, technology changes just about the time you get it figured out. Yes, I know there are more experienced ebook gurus ready bounce, and yes I have listened to their offers.
- The problem I have is this. Let's be honest. IF and that is a huge IF, I sell a ebook I get 70 Cents. And that is before taxes. The object is to sell many, many copies. Which when you are a NEW author and unless you know lots of people, it is hard to do. So, I found it hard to invest. Through trial and error, I finally figured out a system that worked for me. If you like what you see, maybe it can work for you as well.
